Event Type: understanding-scholarships

Seniors should bring all the necessary paperwork, including tax and income information (for both students and parents), to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  INvestEd will be on hand to answer questions and guide families through the process. 

The English as a New Language Department for IPS hosts INvestEd for a virtual discussion about financial aid for higher education. We’ll talk about the importance of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), types of financial aid like scholarships & grants, and other funding options.

Students and families looking for help completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are encouraged to attend this workshop. INvestEd will be at Benjamin Bosse High School to help families complete the FAFSA and answer any financial aid questions.  INvestEd will also discuss the steps to take after filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). We’ll answer questions about the verification process, college award letters, and other funding options.

Lawrence North High School hosts the Northeast Indianapolis College Fair where students of all ages can investigate various colleges and universities. Families can stop by INvestEd’s table to discuss options for paying for college including tips on searching for scholarships. Students and parents are also encouraged to attend our 7:00pm presentation where we will discuss picking a major and college, searching for scholarships, completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), and much more. 

Meet with admissions representatives from colleges across the country at the Greater Indianapolis Southside College Fair hosted by the University of Indianapolis. Stop by the INvestEd table to get information about searching for scholarships, and the top questions to ask during the college search process! 

INvestEd travels to Decatur Central High School to talk with JAG students about planning for college. The discussion will include the importance of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), applying for scholarships, and choosing the right major and college.

INvestEd will be at East Central High School along with representatives from various colleges and universities. Visit our table to talk about college Financial Aid, pick up some scholarship information, and get answers to questions about paying for college.

Corydon Central High School hosts High School 101 Pathway Night! Families can also stop by INvestEd’s table to discuss options for paying for college including tips on searching for scholarships.
